Thankful

One week from today is what I consider to be my favorite holiday.  Thanksgiving.  Thanksgiving gives us all that day, hour, minute, moment where we take the time to reflect on what we are thankful for.  I wish we, as a society, could take that day and be thankful everyday.  Perhaps, if each one of us took 30 secs each day (perhaps some of you already do), and wrote down the first thing that comes to mind what you are thankful for.  Thankful that you had a green light on the way to work; thankful that the parking meter you pulled up to had five minutes left on it, thankful that the mailman brought no bills today, thankful that someone held the door for you, thankful that there were sunflowers blooming, thankful that your child smiled at you today.  It truly is the simple things that we should be thankful for….they are the things that sprinkle kindness in our daily lives.  Soooooo, I challenge each of you to jot down for one month, once a day, what you are thankful for, and don’t read it until your 30 days are up…..I promise you it will warm your heart and you will walk away with a smile.  Thank you for taking the time to read this…..I AM THANKFUL!
